The Courses
The Processing and Control Systems Direction of the Undergraduate Automation and Computer Engineering program develops professionals who are able to design, replicate, perform, manage and maintain complex hardware and software systems that are obtained by completing the control system with the devices, the technologies and methodologies that govern the theory of control, information technology and telecommunications to an extent that guarantees the proper functioning of the system which is under inspection. In the Italian production environment where there are small and medium-sized enterprises operating in various industrial sectors, employment opportunities for graduates of the Automation and Computer Engineering Department are of great interest either in the production sector or in the support and counseling services.
Objectives
The graduates of the Processing and Control Systems Direction of the Undergraduate Automation and Computer Engineering program:
- can apply the methods of mathematics and other basic sciences
- know the different application techniques and instruments to design components, systems and procedures
- have the appropriate knowledge to experiment, analyze and interpret data
- are able to design and understand the operation of the processing systems whether they are hardware or software systems
- can understand and describe the operation of equipment and production systems, even industrial ones.
Teaching
The organization of curriculum courses anticipates the theoretical training to be accompanied by examples, applications and individual and/or group work. Accompanied by personal study, they acquire special importance and:
- laboratory activities
- exercises in a telematics room
- seminars
- preparation of individual or group projects
Activities with educational training value complement the academic training.
