The Courses
The curriculum aims to further deepen the study of European languages and literature by encouraging students’ critical ability in various literary and cultural contexts. There is also knowledge on literary translation and the subject of interculturalism.
Objectives
Graduates in Modern Languages and Literatures and Intercultural Translation:
- have advanced knowledge of the history of literature and the culture of European cultures
- are familiar with the theoretical and implementing bodies for linguistic analysis and teaching of languages and literature
- have active and passive language skills (level C2)
- express themselves in selected foreign languages with ease and comfort, even in technical areas
- have translation skills, particularly in literature
- can understand the texts either in foreign language or in Italian.
Teaching
Learning outcomes are achieved through a balance between distance learning, seminar meetings, translation workshops and the use of audiovisual material. The verification of the expected results in terms of language learning takes place through continuous monitoring during lessons and mainly through written and / or oral examinations.
