The Courses
The curriculum in Psycho-Economics has been designed in the light of the new socio-economic reality, which is gradually imposing an economic review of the economy as a matter of urgency, introducing new variables to economic models that are attributed to the unexpected, fear and impulsiveness. The curriculum aims to provide the psycho-economics graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze the social and psychological dynamics in which economic activities are recorded, in the knowledge that such skills will be increasingly needed for professionals and managers due to the need to correctly interpret the actual decision-making frameworks of the different entrepreneurs.
Objectives
- Graduates in Psychology:
- have excellent knowledge and skills in the economic sectors
- are able to analyze and address the problems of the economic systems and businesses, taking into account the psychological, sociological and cultural elements (expectations, feelings, motives, desires) of the complexity of behaviors during selection procedures
- know how to simulate simple economic environments of choice between alternative behavioral assumptions
- have psycho-sociological knowledge appropriate for the analysis of motivations of behavior of economic agents in different institutional, operational contexts, as well as in market contexts
- have a proper knowledge of the organizational culture of the workplaces.
Teaching
The undergraduate course in Psycho-Economics has a high rate of innovation where the relationship between theory, application, research, simulation and model evaluation represents a teaching example. All teaching activities focus on the relationship between economic science and psychology. The training program among others provides:
- Teaching activities (video lessons, videoconferencing lessons, etc.)
- Interactive course activities (quiz, frequent questions, wiki, etc.)
- Exercise, practical tests and case study
- Participation in seminars made by qualified teachers and experts in economic and psychological courses
- Acquiring language skills with in-depth English
- Preparation and drafting of a final report.
- Training periods in institutions and research institutes, in enterprises and government departments, in addition to the possibility of staying in other Italian and foreign universities, complete the training period.
